»POLYFLEX RESIDUE WARNING: Do not treat cattle for more than 7 days. Milk from treated cows must not be used for food during treatment, and for 48 hours (4 milkings) after the last treatment. Cattle must not be slaughtered for food during treatment, and for 144 hours (6 days) after the last treatment.«

Being one of the factors that affect the animal rearing, health of the animal determines the quality and quantity of the products obtained from the animals.

As prolyflex help cattle to fight respiratory diseases, it is sold as dry powder that need to be mixed with sterile water to create injectable suspension. The water amounts used to mix the drug depends on the concentration needed.

Drug administration

First, reference the product label for specific rehydration information and using new needle and syringe, draw out sterile water , transfer to the the polyflex bottle and thoroughly mix to rehydrate the powder and label bottle with date and concentration.

Similarly, restrain the animal before before administering for protection, safety and animal wellbeing. As you choose the right needle suitable for administration, weigh the animal and draw up proper dose of polyflex. Locate the injection site and for this, triangle in neck is most preferred which exist beneath nuchal ligament that rounds on top of spine behind the neck vertebrae and in front shoulder blade. Avoid the jugular vein and suprascapular lymph node.

Once located, insert needle perpendicular to skin and advance it into the muscle and after administration remove the needle and use a new needle for each animal to avoid cross contamination and blunted needle tips.

Furthermore, mark treated animals and house them in pen until the withdraw period end. Store remaining drug at 30 40 degrees fahrein height to maintain stability for 3 months.

Finally, shake thoroughly to remix the content when using the vaccine next time and follow labelled directions and work with the vet
