Being a form of improving on the quality of fruits, wine making can be done using an affordable technology for the farmers which improve on shelf life of the product. When making wine, one should ensure that bottles used are clean by cleaning and sterilizing them before use and always rinse them using a plunger to clean them and also dry using bottle drier and always siphone wine from bucket to the bottles.

Wine processing

First, wash corks lightly in water to remove any dust on them before use and dont soak corks used to cover wine bottles. Corker types include knock on, corker, 2 handle corker and easy corker to put corks on bottles and free standing corker.
Similarly, label the bottles and always stand bottle upright after corking for first 3 days and store bottle wines on one side to keep the cork moist. Put shrink cups on cork to prevent leaking from cork and finally put wine into demijohns to the top to mature.
