Because post harvest handling is a big factor which affects the profit margins of the farmers due to huge losses during storage, grain silos reduce on losses. Being a collection and storage centre for grains, silo allow grains to be stored in best conditions. On grain delivery, weigh and analyse qualityand enter in the receiving pits which is then sent to to elevator to top of silo where the impurities are removed and sent to wheateed pit out side silo.

Silo management

As grain is graded according to size and shape, it is sent to storage cells directly and thermometric equipment is used to measure temperature. As silo manager coordinate operations and monitors storage conditions, grain is moved from cells and stored in loading hoppers.
Similarly, the lory is cleaned, grain is loaded, weighed and sampled for final inspection and finally the lory is cleared for grain delivery.
