As a farmer start field drying sooner with quick maturing grain, store it at up to 20% moisture content under 40 degrees centigrade in silage bag until spring. Aerate the high moisture grain continously to keep it from spriling ad reduce costs by oly drying sealable product ad reduce over drying.

Grain drying

First, use heat recovery where possible and use energy efficient process, purchase high efficiency dryers and keep up with maintenance. Always sreen grain to remove debris and trash before putting it in the dryer and also reduce on energy required for drying.
Equally, stir grain 3 times as it dries to reduce moisture and use small heater during periods of high humidity. Stir high temperature dryers continously and turn up the heat while for in-bin cooling, keep the fun run continously until corn temperature is cool with in 10 degrees fahreinheight of average daily temperature.
For dryeration, grain is dried for 4-12 hours and once it is cool, transfer it to another bin. However, 2 bins are needed for dryeration system and finally consider energy costs and investments costs when buying new dryers.
