Being a good investment, corn production quality and quantity depends on the level and type of technology used.
Maize or corn is harvested at four months when it has fully attained it physiological maturity and when it has reached a moisture content of 24% and it is done using combined harvester. This is to assure quality of the product.
Corn processing
As the harvester threshes corn and stores it in the board of the machine, it is transfered to dry trailers and transported to site or building for drying. This is done by connecting drying trailer to the gas gas drier.
Similarly, Hot air is propelled to trailers through metal mesh to seeds at controlled temperature and seeds are dried to 10-14% of moisture content. Corn seeds are mechanically sorted to remove any materials and weed seeds.
Corn seeds are put in 50kg bags for final processing and these are sorted, cleaned and separated into small, medium and large grains. Planting materials are separated for future crops and quality corn seeds are filled into plastic bags, sealed and labelled.
Finally, sealed corn is transported to the cool storage facilities and kept at 40 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity ready for sale.
