Aflatoxin management
First, eat a healthy and diversified diet to prevent aflatoxins and include vegetables, fruits and other food that are less affected i the diet as well. Equally, farmers should follow good agricultural practices to reduce conatmination and keep crops safe and sort crops to remove immature pods and damage cobs and prevent grains from contact with soil.
Store all crops in cool and dry place, safe from rain and free from pests and apply 10kg of aflasafe in a hectare 2-3 weeks to flowering for maize and 30-45 days after planting ground nuts.
