As part of of integrated pest managent approaches, faligen causes larvea to become sick and die. However, faligen preparation requirements include measuring device water, personal protective equipment and knap sack sprayer.
Equally, one needs 4 tanks of faligen solution to cover field of 70*60m. Put on personal proctive equipmets, fill sprayer tank half of it with clean water and shake faligen bottle well and measure 10ml of faligen and add to sprayer tank and finish filling sprayer with water and close.
Clean measurig devices after use ot near the water sources however ad mix solution in sprayer by stiring with a nozzle untill they mix. Hold nozzle at consistent heigh and spray dorectly into wall of plants and spray until the sprayer is empty and wash the tank nozzle and the persoal protective equipments.
Furthermore, wash hands with water and soap and do not allow people to enter field until it is dry and finally re-scout field after a week and repeat spraying for 3-5 weeks.
