There are 2 major seasons ie the rainy season and the dry season. Each of them has its own issues when it comes to goat farming.

When you do natural synchronization, calculate to ensure that the goats kid during the dry season because in the dry season, there are fewer infections and management of the kids is easier. Clostridium are the major infection affecting the kids and this is low during the dry season but high in the rainy season.

Rainy season practices

In the rainy season, many diseases are expected hence antibiotics like pen and strip, oxytetracycline 10% and gentamicin should be prepared.

In the second week of the rainy season, deworm your animals because most worms become active and reproduce during the rainy season. Increase on the concentration of acaricide used during spraying because tricks are usually many the rainy season or increase the frequency of spraying.

Dry season
