Soil management
As a farmer puts compost on top of the bed to act as mulch, he should use good potting mix rich in compost for soil retension and nutrients and for drainage, add top soil to the garden. Look for a garden mix which is too high in bark.
Similarly, good garden mix must be spongy and form into a ball on squeezing and check health of the soil by checking the nutrients and sugar levels of the plants.
Finally, always put back compost in garden after harvesting as a replacement and add soil additives.
