Increase in population has led to a decrease in land for production and mobile tarpaulin ponds are an a answer to farming that have limited land but want to engage in aquaculture.
Tarpaulin ponds are good but when new, they have an odd smell from the factory which has negative effects on the growth and development of the fish. Tarpaulin ponds are often treated before use.

Treatment process

Tarpaulin ponds are treated using salt and poultry manure in order to remove the factory smell of the tarpaulin and as well to change the color of the water in the pond from a clear pure colorless watercolor to light green.
The intensity of the color in the water depends on how much protein has been released into the water.
The first stage in pond treatment is to wash the tarpaulin with a sponge and salt.
After washing the tarpaulin pond with salt, put poultry manure into sacs and then tie the sacs. Drop the sacs in the tarpaulin pond with water and leave it to float for about 3 days.
After dropping the sac containing poultry manure in the water, the manure will dissolve slowly into the water. The poultry manure is not poured directly into the pond because the pond ought to remain clear.
After treating the pond, drain the water and replace it with fresh water, add fish anti-stress, and then stock your fish.
