Decline in soil fertility has made the use of fertilizers almost inseparable from crop farming. Liquid organic fertilizers can be locally produced at home.

To make liquid manure, you need animal dung, herbs, urine, and ash. These can be used to make an effective organic fertilizer that can be used to fertilize your crops leading to improved crop yields. The fertilizer can be used on a variety of crops like bananas, vanilla, and soybean.

Making organic fertilizer

Collect animal and poultry droppings from animals like cows, hens, and goats.
Collect tree marigolds also commonly known as Mexican sunflower, ash, and human urine. Ensure that the human has been kept to ferment for 14 days.
Mix the above ingredients very well and put them in a sac.
Tie the sac and suspend it in a tank, and pour 2 jerry cans of fermented urine into the tank.
Leave the setup for 14 days and after 14 days, the fertilizer will be ready for use. The fertilizer has nutrients like Nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorous.
The fertilizer is safe for use and has no negative effects on both the farmer, the environment or the plant.
Farmers can take on the production ad sale of organic fertilizers as a side business.
