»Organic growth promoter for crops (summary)«

Chemical fertilizers damage the soil and pollute water and air and its repeated application leads to build up salts in the soil.
The soil gets a white crusty surface and becomes compacted. Salt in soils causes crops to dry and wilt. Chemical fertilizers also affect the health of humans. As the soil changes and becomes toxic, human health is affected. Chemical fertilizers are very costly and their continued use lowers farm yield. Urea fertilizer makes crops and beets grow excessively abundant leaves that attract sucking and chewing insect pests. When crops are sprayed with natural growth promoters, they produce bigger and greener leaves, but unlike chemical fertilizers, they do not attract sucking insect pests.

Preparing natural promoters

Natural promoters can be prepared using locally available ingredients such as cow dung, ghee milk, urine, sugar and ripe bananas.
An extract made from urine and aromatic leaves can also be added to the mixture to help in the control of pests and diseases.

Importance of promoters

The organic growth promoters increase germination, vegetative growth, flower formation and fruit size. It also helps the crop to ripen more uniformly.
Natural promoters are very effective against root rot and damping off. Organic growth promoters can also be prepared at a low cost and are safe and good for the environment.
