To make the fermented organic fertilizer, you will need 7 sacs of manure, 7 sacs of dry organic residues which could be crop residues, husks from agro-processing, dry leaves, etc, and 5 sacs of soil but soil with a higher clay content is best, 1 sac of biochar, 1 sack of bran, 5 liters of molasses, 25kg of minerals such as ash, bone meal or rock dust, 500g of yeast and 5 liters of non-chlorinated water.
Mixing ingredients
Start by finding a shaded place in which to mix the ingredients.
Add a layer of dry materials and then a layer of soil, followed by a layer of manure, a layer of biochar then a layer of bran, and a layer of minerals.
Take your bucket and add 5 liters of water, add the yeast and mix, then add the molasses and stir this thoroughly and sprinkle on the layer of minerals.
Continue making the layers in the same order until all the materials are finished.
The heap should not be more than between 1.2 to 1.5 meters high.
You need to turn the heap to ensure that the layers get mixed together and as you turn, keep sprinkling more water but ensure that you do not put alot of water.
