First steps
Start by levelling ploughed field to avoid water logging, then apply soil nutrients to ensure high yield and plant during rainy seasons to attain high yields. Always sow seeds in rows to allow proper field management and space arows at 1 feet apart. During sowing plant seeds 3-4 inches apart and 2cm deep and lightly water to facilitate seed germination.
Second steps
Ensure timely application of urea, potash, nitrogen, phosphorus and SSP to boost growth. However irrigate field before sowing to ensure good germination but avoid irrigating flowering plants flowering and plants at pond formation stage. Additionally, ensure timely control of pests and diseases after consulting an agricultural officer and lastly, harvest before plant maturity depending on the pea variety to avoid losses.
