As differet technologies are used on different crops during propagation, rosemary ca be grown from cuttings using simple technology. Because cuttings in winter stimulate shoot to start grow or produce roots, get rosemary cuttings at the right time and as the shoot type and age determine the rooting success hence always use young shoots for best results of the crop in a given peiod of time.

Rosemary production

First, select the greenest, youngest  cuttings first, cut thm at required length and place them fresh soil or use shoots os atleast 6 inches long, remove half of leaves from bottom of the stem and put in water of temperature 21-32 degrees centigrade range for successful rooting and provide light.
In 15-20 days, roots start growing and afetr 2 weeks from the appearance of the first roots, plants are ready for planting. Presoak soil 1hour in pots for easir transition of cuttings and when soil is soft, make a hole in centre and place cuttings in them. Equally, bury the stem up to bottom level of leaves for it to establish in a week to 10 days after plantig.
Finally, don’t water for 2 weeks once soil is presoaked prior to planting and 2-3 weeks after plantig, give a tag to rooted stem.
