As fruit tree planting remain a viable entity for farmers, pruning of cherries improve on the abiity of a tree to produce quality fruits. As a farmer buys beer root cherry trees and plant them, she should disinfect pruining cheers and prune during late winter or early spring and prune at 45 cm from ground and 18 inches above the branch. Remove suckers below the grafting union and always cut at 18 inches above last cut for more branches.

Cherry management

As a farmer applies grafting compound on open cut wounds of cherry trees, she should cutt off all branches that grow horrizontal to the ground and leave 0.5 inches of branch cuts from the trunk and also cut off dead branches and banches that grow towards inside to avoid crowding.
Similarly, tree produce fruits after 3 years from pruining. Select a cherry variety to pollinate with and dont over prune the cherry tree after last heavy pruning.
