Being a highly nutritious crop rich in vitamins, the qulaity and quantity of strawberry production is highly determined by the type and level of technology used. As strawberries need sunshine and warmth to produce juicy fruits, they equally like acidic soils of pH 5.5-6.5 and always a farmer should add coffee grounds or pig moss to increase acidity and carbon. Add sulphur to change the pH of soils and make trenches in the garden. Put animal manure in the trenches, cover and plant strawberries on top.

Crop management

Unlike for some other crops, prevent water logging in the garden of strawberries and mulch for fruits to rest on them to prevent rotting due to contact with soils. Soak sedlings in see weed solution for 5 minutes to strengthen the roots, chop off flowers from seedlings and plant with crowns above soil levels to prevent flowers from rotting.
Similarly, strawberries are strong feeders which need different fertilizers and a farmer should apply phosphate fertilizers during planting and potassium during fruiting. Water plants after fertilizer application and put mulch in the garden trenches and chaff around plants.
Furthermore, water after application of chaffs and mulch to stop them from flying away ans finally cover strawberry garden to prevent intruders.
