Horses naturally leave in the wild however for horse farmers there are some basics that should be practised for the animals to grow healthy.

Farmers should also ensure to provide horses with quality hay that can easily be digested since horses digest food differently from cows. Additionally, there are basic necessary equipments that horse farmers should posses before purchasing the animal and among these include halters, lead rope, brushes, hoof pick, medical supplies, sprays and blanket.

Care practices

Start by providing grass, hay with balanced sugar levels to animals and ensure to supplement these with quality grains after consulting a veterinary doctor.

Furthermore, provide horses with enough to prevent the animals from being dehydrated.

Allow horses to be out in a big fenced field containing shelters so that they can easily move and freely graze.

Alternatively, horses can be kept in stalls for shelter, it is necessary to always consult a veterinary doctor on where to keep the horse since some breeds can be kept indoors and others don‘t.

Additionally, indoor horses should be moved out once a day to enable the animal to exercise.
