Start by selecting generation one good quality chicks breeds from reputable dealers and make sure that these are well vaccinated at the hatchery against killer diseases. Additionally, check new chicks for any abnormalities and install heat source before chicks arrive. Furthermore, provide new chicks with water containing chick starter, this reduces stress levels resulting from chick movements. Also change water daily, always wash the drinker and provide good quality feeds at each stage of development.
