As some plants are transplanted fron nursery bed to main garden for higher yied potential, others can only be grown through direct seeding. Because direct seeding is inexpensive, simpler, more straight forward and need less tools, it involves a practice of planting of sowing seeds directly into the soils in which they will grow as well as live without transport later on and the garden is broken down to its effective form.

Seed management

As direct seeeding is not suitable for zucchins, bulb onions, egg plants, melons, tomatoes, pepper and cucumber, it is suitable for carrots, beets, spinach, lettuce, peas and corn. Make rows and put in seeds directly and plants need certain temperatures to germinate and grow hence dont seed crops before winter hits for amid summer harvest.
Because seeding need proper timing, seed crops at optimal depth as it allows every crop the chance to maximise its growth habbit for roots and shoots. Prepare seed bed well, make ditches of desired rows and depth ensuring proper spacing from the start.
Furthermore, Sow the beet seed in the trenches, cover with soil and add loose mulch to te bed for protection and also water the bed. For surface method, put a thin layer of soil on the seed bed of 3 inches wide to desired row length and spread on soil and cover with a skin court of potting mix.
For multi seeding method, clear bed and make trenches of 2 inches deep and place 2 seeds per 6 inches apart in the trench and cover with organic mix.
Finally, mulch and water.
