Diarrhoea is a challenge to poultry farmers, it is caused due to many factors, however it is treatable and can can be easily controlled. Additionally, always vaccinate birds at early against fowl cholera. Furthermore, for better treatment of diarrhea always first differentiate the bacterial and viral causes for example Newcastle is seen from greenish diarrhea, breathing difficulty and greatly kills birds. To make an organic diarrhea treatment you need 1 gallon of water, 8 teaspoons of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and baking soda.

Causes and prevention

Diarrhoea in poultry is caused by a number of reasons and among these include, worm, bacteria, virus infestation, kidney damage and bad feeds. Additionally, Marek‘s and New castle also cause diarrhoea. To prevent diarrhoea on farm, install a footbath and change its water on a weekly basis. Also isolate new flock for 2 weeks and vaccinate chickens in time against diseases that cause diseases.
