Milk is highly demanded globally , this is due to its healthy nutrients. For clean milk production there are some practices that should be put in place to attain clean milk.
Furthermore, milk is consumed by people of all ages. Clean milk production makes milk safe for human consumption, increases milk shelf life and production of quality milk products by eliminating pathogens.

Followed practices

Always before milking wash milking area and animals to be milked with disinfected water to kill the harmful bacteria‘s. Additionally, always wash dry and sanitize milking equipment before and after milking. Always tie and feed animals during milking to facilitate milk letdown.
Always wash hands with soap and wipe them before milking. Ensure to trim nails before milking and wear clean clothing with cape during milking. Additionally, before milking wash teats with potassium permanganate, dry with clean cloth and check mastitis. Lastly, wash hands and dip milking machines in potassium permanganate (1%) and follow full hand milking method when milking to properly empty the udder.
