Castor oil farming and its uses. Castor grows as a shrub and is mostly assumed to be a weed but it is mostly used in ornamentals like necklaces and to create oil.
Clear your land and plant the seeds 3 inches deep and 2 meters apart because they may grow up to a height of 3 meters hence giving it enough space. Castor seeds are in 4 different varieties which include impala, camesita pink and rose, red spire, and Gibson. This crop is most popular in India but also in Mozambique, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Zambia where it is produced for export. Castor seeds are always very light but their weight can be increased if it gets enough water. Castor seed contains ricin which is poisonous and can cause allergies with its pollen. varieties should be mixed so as to harvest at different times, where it is always harvested after 2 days when the stems dry and turn brown to avoid them from falling down.
