As water remains the most important factor in crop growth and development, irrigation takes centre stage for crop production.

When constructing the water storage tank, fence off an area of land and improve road connections and it if followed by removing of top soil and storing it on site as it is to be used for land scaping and one work is done.

Construction process

During construction, an excavator is digs to required depth and concrete is made to make foundation of tank followed by reinforcing base slab surrounded with full work of timber. Walls of tank are reinforced and same process is used for roof construction.

Similarly, pipe work is connected to tank and drainage is installed around base and tank is filled and left for week while checks are made on water level. The external walls are covered with water proof membrane and area is back filled, compacted and roof is covered with more membrane.

Surrounding ground is raised to reach top of tank and tank is cleaned and disinfected ready for connection to supply network and steps to roof, required kiosks and vehicle access are also constructed. Security fence is then installed around premise of site and trees are planted as required.

Furthermore, stores, offices and compound are removed and finally top soil is restore and whole area is then grass seeded.
