Many use compost as an organic fertilizer but making it can turn out to be slow yet the process can be fastened.
To make composting faster, you need to keep a balance between green materials, brown materials, air, and water. Green materials have a higher percentage of nitrogen and tend to be fresh and soft. The brown materials usually have a high carbon content and these usually include dried grass, leaves, wood chippings, and straw.

Ensure that you chop the materials into small pieces which have a high surface area and can easily be broken down.
Add a natural kick starter and the manure of herbivorous animals have good quantities of microorganisms to kickstart the decomposition process.
Ensure that the compost pit is not too high and regularly turn the compost pit to provide oxygen for the microorganisms to do the decomposition.
