The vegetative stage of plant growth is the most important growth stage of plants because at this stage, the plant grows more leaves and branches and becomes bushy. At this stage , the plant NPK requirement is increased and if you supply the nutrients required by the plants then the plant will grow more stronger.
Vegetative growth stage
Each crops completes its cycle by going through three stages i.e. the Germination stage, the vegetative growth stage and the reproductive stage.
In the vegetative stage, the crop grows more leaves and bushy. At this stage the crop requires more nitrogen as compared to phosphorous and potassium.
Vegetative growth NPK
To make NPK fertilizer for vegetative growth, get a mixing container and into it, put 1 part of vermicompost and pour it in the mixing container. This is made using earthworms and roughly contains an NPK value of 2:1:1. This also contains about 12% of organic carbon and sufficient amounts of Magnesium and calcium.
Get one other part of cow dung compost and add it in the mixing container. This contains NPK value of 3:2:1.
Add one part of cotton seed meal powder. This is a bi product got after extracting oil from cotton seed. This contains NPK value of 7:3:2.
Mix the three ingredients properly and after, the fertilizer will be ready for use on all plants. This contains NPK ratio of about 12:6:4 and is good for vegetative growth of plants.
