To make fermented organic fertilizer, you need effective microorganisms, molasses, water, and a measuring container. The water needs to be dechlorinated water because chlorine kills microorganisms yet they are needed to make the fermented organic fertilizer.
Fertilizer making
Put one tablespoon of effective microorganisms and one tablespoon of molasses in a container and mix them with about 750ml of de-chlorinated water.
Pour the solution into a container containing shredded newspaper and mix.
Put the mixture into a polythene bag and let it sit for 2 weeks and the fertilizer will be ready to use. The materials should be compressed hard enough in the polythene to eliminate air because the bacteria responsible for the decomposition are anaerobic in nature.
Usually, the fermented organic fertilizer is made using bran but bran is expensive and this can be substituted with newspapers.
After 2 weeks, the fertilizer is ready for use but you can decide to dry it and store it for future use.
