Aloe vera is an important crop grown for its medicinal value and as well industrial use.

In order to increase yield/ harvests from aloe vera plants, you need to apply a fertilizer but this can be an organic fertilizer made from home. In order to make the fertilizer, you would need to collect potato peels, banana peels, and egg shells.

Ingredients’ nutritional composition

Potato peels are a source of nitrogen, phosphorous, magnesium, and potassium.
Banana peels have potassium, small amounts of nitrogen, phosphorous, and magnesium.
Egg shells are used as a source of calcium.

Fertilizer preparation

Put the banana peels, egg shells, and potato peels in a pot.
Pour water into the pot and keep it in the shade for 7 days while stirring every day for 2 minutes.
After 7 days, stir well with a stick and filter the mixture.
Use the residue in making organic compost while the to the filtrate, dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:1, and is now ready for use.
Apply the fertilizer to the aloe vera. For better results, use the fertilizer preferably in the evenings at intervals of 15 days. The fertilizer can also be used on other plants.
