Simple and cheap method on preparing Mellon flies biological traps.

The most terrible and disastrous pest in a watermelon plantation is the melon fly, it looks like a bee and attacks the melon through a stinging. Control by chemical methods is very expensive hence we use biological methods using pheromone.

Buy pheromones from the nearest agro vet which comes with apparatus, collect some plastic bottles, and make holes in them. Merge the lid and the holding gadget then mount the wool on it. Take the pheromone and pour it into the wool. Tighten your lid on the bottle container. You can have four containers in an acre. The pheromone smell attracts both male and female flies, entering the container through the holes and they will not be able to come out of the bottle, some water can be added to the bottle to drown the flies. Tie the bottle by a string and hang them around the farm distributing them equally. This should be done early before receiving the fourth female flower which is the main flower of interest.
