Day 1 to 3
Carefully off load chick, check for abnormalities and treat abnormal chicks separately. Also pre warm the brooder to 35-37 degrees celsius this should be done before chicks arrive at the farm. Also provide chicks with enough water containing 5% glucose as well as enough light in the brooder. Additionally, give chicks liquid paraffin before feeding, maintain brooder temperature and provide enough feeds as well as cleaning drinkers regularly.
Day 4 to 10
From day 4 decrease light, feeding while maintaining water provision and avoid constant drug use. Furthermore, lower brooder temperatures and allow good brooder air ventilation. Also ensure to remove manure daily, disinfect the brooder and weigh chicks to adjust feeding. Lastly from day 10 decrease light by 1 hour, provide enough water and feeds as well as creating a good ventilation.
