The variety of pea plants you select to grow will only have some influence on which pot you choose. Space the plants at 3-5 inches apart and dwarf variety can be planted at the depth of 6 inches apart.
The size of the pot will mainly depend on the type of peas and varieties you are growing. Pea plants grow best in well drained soil rich in nitrogen and aged compost. Sow peas in raised beds in the spring season and where soil is heavy. Peas are light feeders and dont require fertilizers.
Fertilizers
A layer of compost at planting time will give plenty of nutrients and mulching the surface of the soil will prevent moisture loss. Local manure for pea plants should be well aged.
Pea plants should be watered well once or twice weekly. Be sure that the top inch of the soil has become dry between watering. Control pests and diseases by removing any affected plants to keep wilt from spreading.
